Spark Insight and Research was founded in 2022, by Katie Pekacar, following a long career working as a freelancer and in blue chip research agencies.
Katie works with a team of trusted associates to develop the best team for the brief.
Meet The Team

Katie Pekacar
Director at Spark Insight
Katie has over twenty years of experience in research. She has worked in small boutique agencies and larger research companies on qualitative, quantitative and deliberative research across a range of sectors.
Katie has a Masters with Distinction in Social Anthropology from University College London. She is a member of the Market Research Society and has undertaken a number of professional training courses in Research including MRS and AQR accredited courses in facilitation, quantitative research questionnaire design and qualitative research techniques.

Monique Rotik
Principal Associate
Monique is a seasoned social/market research practitioner and facilitator whose more than 25 years of experience spans a wide range of methods, audiences and contexts. She started her career in Australia and has recently returned here after working at a senior level in the UK for more than two decades.
Monique holds a BEc Hons (First Class) from USYD and is a member of The Research Society Australia with Qualified Professional Researcher status, as well as a member of the Engagement Institute (formerly IAP2) Australasia
Monique has particular expertise in the following areas:

Liz Griffin
Associate
Liz’s career in research spans more than twenty years, beginning with participatory action research as a youth worker. She now runs her own consultancy, Hidden Depths Research, and has also worked in think tanks, agencies and client-side roles, gaining experience in evaluation, strategy, communications, engagement, and social and policy research. She holds an MSc with Distinction in Social Research.
Her subject experience is broad, with particular specialisms in pensions and retirement, supporting philanthropy and civil society strategy and effectiveness, and community cohesion. A research methods enthusiast, she is motivated by the belief that research should not only study change, but help bring it about.
